Hi. My name is Jo, and I’m Irish. Well, I’m part Irish. My great grandparents are the ones that actually lived in Ireland, the rest of us just gleefully roll through life with the lovely traits they passed down to us: The pale skin, the love of alcoholic beverages, quick wit, and luck.
I finished my first round edits last night (woohoo!) and realized that sometimes, it’s easy to forget the things and people we’re lucky to have in our lives. Therefore, today, I thought I’d write about some of them, as a friendly reminder to myself and others that life is short, and so are leprechauns.
Plus, how cool is it to share a possible lineage with this guy? I’m pretty sure we’re related (not really, well, maybe).
Okay, down to business.
I am lucky that…
My husband and I have full time jobs we both enjoy (most days) and that keep a roof over our heads and food on the table.
That husband (*points up there*) is also the best friend anyone could ever ask for.
My two girls are happy and healthy and love life like there’s no tomorrow.
I have awesome friends that care about me and family that puts up with me. *wink wink nudge nudge*
I have transportation (very cool transportation might I add, I feel like a part of the Winchester clan when I drive it) to get me from point A to point B daily.
My soul is a happy soul.
I’m in the daily company of so many very talented people.
And lastly (but not least), I’m extremely lucky that Soul Mate Publishing has taken me under their creative wings and are helping me to make Cursed be the Wicked the very best story it can be. My editor has taught me so much through first round edits and I’m looking forward (with much excitement) to getting through round two.
Bottom line to this post is, it doesn’t really matter if you’re Irish or not. I’m thankful for all these things and more regardless. ;)
Today is good day. In fact, it’s a GREAT one. Be thankful.
