What a wonderful holiday contest, nothing says “holiday” like getting to curl up in front of the sparkling tree, maybe a fire and good book on Kindle to relax and enjoy. Thank you so much!

Thanks to all who stopped by during this and our Nov contest. It was great meeting you and we would love to see you anytime you feel like popping in to say hello.
On behalf of the Soul Mate Authors, I would like to wish you all a very happy and safe holiday season. We look forward to seeing you in 2011!

Eggnog tea with 1 splenda and a book on my Kindle. Now THAT’S the way to relax during the holidays. Holiday Blessings to all.
Am i too late to get on Santa’s Nice list, and maybe win a kindle ?
Hello everyone,
I get into the spirit of the holiday, celebrate with friends. But I don’t actually celebrate Christmas. I’m Jewish. I celebrate Chanukah. I light a menorah. I like looking at how the houses around the community is decorated.

Herbal peppermint tea, with a candy cane to stir, a fire in the fireplace, an ebook on a kindle all cuddled up in a recliner with my favorite home-made fleece blanket…is a great way for me to relax.

cannot believe it is December 1. Time goes by too fast at this time of year. Need to take time to enjoy all the special times and activities that happen.
Happy December! Time is flying by and the countdown to the new year begins. The holidays is definitely a time for family and good food.
Hey there, I love this time of year. The scents, the sounds, the sights. I enjoy everyone’s smiles. And, my name is Gail Ingis-Claus, so as Mrs. Claus everyone asks me to put in a good word in to Mr. Claus. So you better be good, better be nice…Enjoy your holiday.
IMO, Christmas Eve is magical – full of possibility. I’ve promised myself I won’t stress myself out this year between holiday deadlines and end-of-the-year deadlines. So far, I’m more relaxed than ever. Except it’s still early in December yet.
Sleigh bells ring…are ya listenin’? In the lane…snow is glistenin’…
That is what’s going through my mind today. I love Christmas time.
(ron.clough@gmail.com)
Christmas decorating and trimming the tree are the beginnings of the Christmas season for me. I love the card giving & reconnecting with everyone, as well as the special celebrations with friends and family throughout December: teas, get-togethers, xmas parties. And cozying-in during the cold evenings near the fireplace with a great book, eggnog and warm blanket. Eggnog tea is also very good!! It’s such a positive time, a time of endings and beginnings, a magic time, a time for reflexion, and of inclusion. What was the line in the movie Chocolat? It’s not who we exclude but who we include; what we do, not necessarily just…what we don’t do.
Happy Holidays!!

Strange year. The first holiday back in our home since our house fire. We are excited, but lack time to do the holidays right. Also I hate taking down a tree. But the outside decorations go up this week

I love this season of the year. It makes me feel empowered to become a better person. I love Christmas dishes on the table from December 1-31, minty cocoa or cinnamon apple cider, and good things coming from the oven. We will have a real tree from the neighbor’s farm, selected and cut by the four of us (yes, we have to tour the whole lot. It’s a mom thing). There is Christmas music in the mornings, after everyone has gone off to school and work, because I swear it is more fun to clean the house when I have it playing.
Traditions and new adventures will keep us running as we blend our schedules into a crazy, busy, happy, frenzy – that leaves us longing for January.

This time of year I indulge myself by reading my collection of Christmas books. Every year I add several more! It is wonderful to sit down in front of the fire, pick up one of my books, have a cup of tea and escape from the holiday mayhem for a little while with a delightful, uplifting story. This is my indulgence on a cold evening and one I have come to treasure.

Happy Holidays to everyone! This time of year is magical
Just having time to spend with family and friends, holiday music in the background, all of the fun holiday movies…and for some reason, I know it’s cliche, but everyone really is nicer this time of year
Hope to win the kindle….what a fun month this will be

Hot chocolate with a couple Andes Mint Chocolates melted in it…doesn’t that sound good right about now? Oh yeah, that and a Kindle.
Happy Holidays!
I’m with Ron….Hot chocolate with a couple Andes Mint Chocolates melted in it…doesn’t that sound good right about now? Oh yeah, that and a Kindle.
Sounds so good right about now.
Another post from Ron. Marilyn and I are duking it out for the Kindle. Hehe Good Luck Marilyn!
Me again…it’s starting to feel a bit like winter here, STL, MO. We had a few flurries and the temperature is in the 20-30′s all week. I’m wishing for a white Christmas. It can start on late on Christmas eve…I love waking up to fresh snow on Christmas. I know others are screaming “NO SNOW!” But it just doesn’t seem like Christmas for me without snow.
LOL…I think you’re right Ron…lol…good luck to you too!
My favorite holiday tradition…Hot chocolate for all, dim the lights down to Christmas tree lights (and a light for the reader), and read all the children Christmas stories. Used to be the night before Christmas, but thinking about doing parts of “A Christmas Carol” this year since my kids are older now. I <3 the Holidays.
I like hot chocolate too but with a little peppermint. Fire in fireplace, all snuggled up with cozy blanket and kids…night light to read to kiddies…
Congratulations to Bev Irwin aka Kendra James on her new book ‘When Hearts Collide’.
Can’t wait to read it.
This is soooooo exciting!!
Congratulations to Kendra James on her accomplishment. Her first published book! My idea of a terrific Christmas is spending as much time as possible with friends and family enjoying the season together.
Congratulations Kendra!
Hi everyone!
Wow! I beat Ron in posting today…LOL
It’s me again…teehee…I REALLY want to win!
Congrats to Casey Wyatt. Can’t wait for her book to come out in January.
LOL…yeah, Marilyn…somehow I let the day slip away yesterday. You now have a one-day advantage.
Here’s my post for today though. Hope you (and Everyone) is having a great Friday and finding ways to enjoy the holiday season (like day dreaming of winning the Kindle).
I am not much for the frenzy of spending at this season, but I love the lights twinkling inside and out. Hope I win Rebecca’s book, and the Kindle.
I just realized I didn’t leave my contact information in my earlier post. ehparker@me.com
I most certainly don’t want to miss the opportunity to win a Kindle!
Elizabeth
This Christmas our yearly tree decorating tradition has been a little different due to a curious kitten named Beauty who thinks the tree is her new climbing structure. Needless to say, we’ve had to regroup, sort through which ornaments could survive a climbing kitty as well as a possible crash to the floor.
Would love to win the Kindle! Thanks for having such a great contest.
LOL…Ron, I think you had a day on me anyway. It’s easy to let the day slip away. Hope you (and everyone) has a great holiday season!
Hey Ron,
If you like to read, great prizes over at http://www.marilynwigglesworth.blogspot.com
Lots of Soul Mate Publishing authors are participating.
Hope it’s ok, with SMP to post this. If not, let me know and I’ll delete it.
No problem Marilyn. We appreciate your hosting the blog and having the SM authors as guests
To celebrate the holidays, I get to admire at how my kids’ tastes change each year as they grow. No more Disney Princess, GI JOE’s, Hot Wheels, or Cheetah Girls. Now, its Monster High, computer games, and black clothes. I long for the days of GI JOE and Disney Princess.
Love your family and hold them tight because time changes everything. Merry Christmas all and God Bless.
Isn’t it wonderful how everyone enjoys the holidays in different ways. I love this time of year. The tree lights and decorations, the wonderful holiday food and music. And getting together with family and friends some from far away, who we only see at the holidays.
We’re pretty traditional at my house. Presents Christmas morning, and my husband’s family over for dinner. We always decorate the tree together, with cocoa and cookies, and the music from the Charlie Brown Christmas special. I’m not much of a shopper, but I love the family togetherness part of the holidays.
I celebrate Christmas traditionally, in love
Awesome contest!

Don’t know if I’ll have a chance at the Kindle with Marilyn and Ron battling for it.
But, I might just get lucky. Happy Holidays!
This year, I’m in grad school, so we’re doing everything later than usual. I have finals next week, but we’re at least going to get our tree this weekend, and maybe hit the Tuba Christmas downtown.

Hi everyone!
Just stopping by to enter for the kindle today.
Can’t believe there’s only 2 weeks until Christmas. Does everyone have lots of holiday parties and celebration going on?
I want to win a kindle so I can read Mandi Casey’s new book.
My family is Italian, so there always is good food. My mother makes Italian donuts on Christmas Eve and the family plays penny joker and other games. We open presents on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day we often have a big dinner with homemade pasta sauce and homemade noodles or gnocchi and sometimes we make cannolis or other Italian food. When all my siblings and their children gather for this event at my mother’s house there are 19 of us.
Oh no, where did Ron go? Yes, it’s me again….hope everyone had a great weekend.
May your holiday season be filled with joy, love and merriment … and a few little surprised tucked under your pillow.
Merry Christmas wishes to all <3
I love Christmas time! The decorations, music and food are wonderful and of course getting together with family and friends. Some whom we only see at the Holidays. I hope yours is very Merry Indeed!
I love Christmas time too. But if it’s going to be cold, I want snow on Christmas day!
Hope everyone had a great weekend!
Just went to a friend’s Holiday party this weekend, and had a great time. Made it feel more like Christmas. Just around the corner!!
Happy Holidays and Blessings to all.
Christmas is all about seeing my daughter’s face light up when she sees all the presents under the tree that Santa left her. To me, her pure joy is the greatest gift.
Ron’s back! Glad you had a great time at your friend’s holiday party.
Happy Holidays and Blessings everyone!
I loved winning the November contest and have been enjoying SO MUCH all the prizes. How could I not enter for December as well? Fav Christmas drink is coffee with Irish cream. Love decorating the trees with my son and his darling GF. We play jokes on each other by hiding ornaments or small elves in the house for each other to run across, along with funny notes. All the decorations bring warmth to my heart, and if anyone knows of a handsome 50′s Santa whose lap I can sit on and tell all that I want under the tree, let me know! LOL
Yes, Marilyn, my weekend computing activities are somewhat less than my weekdays. Just giving you an opportunity to get a leg up in the contest.
In the Holiday groove with getting gifts, and looking forward to my kids faces on Christmas day. Happy Holidays to all.
Ron
A Haiku for you
To spread the holiday cheer
And Kindle contest

Had fun partially decorating the small tree my son and GF have in their living room. Was fun reminiscing over the decorations I’ve bought them over the years. Hot chocolate added to the ambiance! Scrooge is making me come back to my desk and work on day job review – bah humbug!
Ops, my post yesterday is gone…bummer…oh well!
Happy holidays!
Not to take away from the Spirituality behind Christmas, but here’s the Santa-Question of the day?
What is the best gift you ever got for Christmas?
My answer…a pinball machine when I was 12. It was a full arcade size, and I spent so much time playing it, I couldn’t be beat. Funny how that talent never translated out onto OTHER pinball machines though. Curious.
Happy Holidays, my fellow Kindle lovers.
Hi all,
To answer the best gift question, my daughter was my best Christmas gift!
Peppermint hot chocolate, a nice warm blanket, and a good book is how I like my me time to be during the holidays!! Other than that spending time with my wonderful husband and daughter!!
Paragould_gal_05@hotmail.com
Can’t top that, Marilyn.
I totally agree, my kids are what make the season for me now. I also like Jessica’s idea of holiday cheer.
Stay warm on this fine Friday and keep the holiday spirit flowin’!
Oh yeah, and your Kindle entries. hehe
please enter me in the contest.

I hope all is well for you Marilyn. With my flighty computing on the weekend, there is no guarantee that I will even get ahead. hehe
Take Care,
Ron

Merry, Merry Christmas!!!
I am all snuggled up to read Susan Muller’s book – The Secrets on Forest Bend!
(and – I would love to win a Kindle! – karenmuller@katyisd.org )
wishing everyone the best of the season!
Thanks for asking…all is well for now…more tests to come but at least I get to be at home.
Hope everyone is having a great weekend…one week til Christmas…wow! time flies…
MY BIGGEST JOY AT CHRISTMAS IS WATCHING MY 3 YR. OLD AND 4 YR. OLD GRANDDAUGHTERS OPEN THEIR PRESENTS! THAT’S WHAT CHRISTMAS IS ALL ABOUT.
I MIS-SPOKE. JESUS IS THE REAL MEANING OF CHRISTMAS! WE’VE TAUGHT THE LITTLE GIRLS ABOUT THE NATIVITY AND JESUS’ BIRTH AND I ALWAYS SEND OUT RELIGIOUS CARDS, WHICH I PAINT MYSELF. IT MAKES ME JOYFUL TO SEND OUT MY OWN WORK AND EVERYONE I KNOW LOOKS FORWARD TO MY NEW CARD EVERY CHRISTMAS. THEN, CHRISTMAS MORNING COMES THE GRANDDAUGHTERS, AS MENTIONED ABOVE.
Happy Sunday everyone!
Hope you had a great weekend. I also hope you got all of your holiday shopping done so you can enjoy the upcoming week.
Marilyn
Most of my shopping comes off of Amazon, so it has been an easy season. hehe I fight the crowds as little as possible. Looking forward to the upcoming Holiday fun.
Glad everything is OK, Marilyn. Be happy and healthy.
Ron
Thanks Ron, appreciate it!
I’m looking forward to upcoming holiday fun too!
Marilyn
Holiday music stuck in my head today. Not a bad thing.
Hope all is well with everyone.
Ron
I watched Here comes Santa Claus this weekend on DVD with Mikayla. I’ve had First Toymaker to the King…in my head for several days.
Trying to switch to a another Christmas song…anyone would be a great change!
I’m personally singing silent night all over the place. Good thing my office is mostly empty this week.
Holiday shopping done and 4 days off and that means Reading!
Just three more days til Santa arrives!
Can’t wait to read Susan Muller’s new book, “The Secrets on Forest Bend.” Sure would love a new kindle! Thanks and Merry Christmas!!
Melissa

As much as I love the holidays, I’m looking forward to the aftermath the most. The part where you get to relax with a good book (on Kindle of course) knowing that all is done and you’re too broke to do anything else anyway.
It’s very liberating….er…um…I mean…relaxing.
Happy Holidays to my fellow Kindle-Contest posters.
Ron
I’ve been singing “Let it Snow” and getting lots of dirty looks….not for the bad tone…LOL…but for the mention of snow…
Hope everyone’s week is going very well.
No dirty looks here…a white Christmas sounds fine to me. hehe
What more could you ask for Christmas but living in the Florida keys, 80 degree sunshine weather, a tropical breeze and good friends? I know! A kindle for all those long windy days the fish aren’t biting.

YEAH YVONNE BRINSON! CONGRATS ON YOUR WIN!
Oh well Ron, we made a good run at it! Happy holidays to you and yours!
Happy Holidays at all!
YES…CONGRATULATIONS TO YVONNE!
Yup, Marilyn, we can’t be accused of not givin’ it the ol’ college try.
Happy Holidays to you and yours as well. Been great chattin’ with ya.
Ron
Hello to Soul Mate Authors Group,
OMG!!!!!!!! I can’t believe I won! This is so very exciting and right before the holidays too. When I told my husband, the first thing he said was, “but we never win anything!” Well, I certainly can’t say that anymore. What a thrill and what a wonderful gift. My most favorite pasttime away from my busy life is to sit and read either a good romance novel – contemporary or historical, a little paranormal, maybe a mystery who-done-it and especially something that makes me laugh. What better way to do that than on a Kindle. thank you thank you thank you for sponsoring this. BTW, I have read three books from this Publisher and I am making my way through more.
Yvonne Brinson
You are welcome Yvonne!
Glad you are enjoying the books by Soul Mate authors and hope you will leave us some feedback on them when you have a chance
Yes we did Ron. Good chatting with you too!
