Janna Shay started reading at the young age of five and began a lifelong love of reading. As a child she would spend endless hours at the local library pouring through all genres of books. It wasn’t until her teens that her love of romance novels blossomed.
Always wanting to embark on a writing career, Janna worked many jobs in the accounting and manufacturing fields and raised her family before trying her hand at writing. She started her writing career with a family journal chronicling her family’s history and soon found herself writing full length novels and immersing herself in the lives of her characters.
A native Californian, Janna lives in the San Francisco bay area with her husband Julian and miniature schnauzer Kodi, and enjoys a close relationship with her children who all live nearby.
When Janna isn’t following her dream of writing or enjoying her love of reading she can be found engaging in her other love, which is activities with her family.
