For my last post here this year, I wanted to come up with something profound and inspiring. Instead I’ll reveal my secret thrill now that I’m finally a published author.
Ed and I have been married for 33 years. He has a very Slavic last name that is often misspelled and mispronounced. He’s very proud of his name though our daughters were really happy to marry and change their names to their husbands surname.
Ed said he would never answer to being called “Mr. Patrick” no matter how famous I become. And yet, this is the name-tag he wore in the first month I was published!
Of course, he didn’t have his glasses on when he put it on, and didn’t really pay attention to the name on the tag until we had our picture taken.
Any secrets you want to share that only your fellow authors can know?
