Time is one thing that always seems to be in high demand and low supply. Whether it’s for school or work, family and friends, or even writing, it always seems to run short. I have found this to be especially true since becoming a mom of two toddlers.
I am always rushing to get everything accomplished while desperately trying to hold onto and focus on the little moments with my children, who are growing up far faster than I ever imagined. Unfortunately, while writing is still very important, it cannot be the highest priority when you have children.
But, in my time for writing becoming more scarce, it has also become more special.
Finally completing the manuscript for Simple Misconception, book four in the Jordan James, PI series, I received a contract for it almost two years after I began the project. This has been the most rewarding experience since I first signed with Soul Mate Publishing four years ago.
I may not have as much time as I once had to focus on writing, but as the saying goes, there is a time and a place for everything. I’ll find that time again one day. And the precious moments I’m living now will make it all the richer.
