‘I have been writing historical novels since I retired from my day job eight years ago. Over the years, I developed a large database of kin and found the roots for some interesting stories particularly of notable women in the colonial period who made a difference but were not recorded in history books. I have published two novels recognized for awards by the Houston Writers Guild and the 2012 Writers-Editors Network International Writing Competition. My current story, Hetty’s Song, the Death of the Skylark is an October, 2013 release.
On the professional side, I am a Nebraskan by birth and a graduate of the University of Nebraska. My business experience has included State of Delaware Secretary of the Senate, Sales Manager for Multinational Company, Adult Education teacher and administrator, Campus President of a technical school, Past Accreditation Commissioner for Proprietary Schools, and Genealogy Consultant. I am a member of the Historical Novel Society and have been affiliated with the Houston Writers Guild, Gulf Coast Federation of Writers, and Houston Women in Visual and Literary Arts.
Most of all, I love my book clubs, writers groups, and my four-pawed dog, Scooter. My husband and I live in Richmond, Texas.’
