Each month on Castigation, any citizen of Luella who expresses an undesired trait will be publicly executed, therefore disallowing the undesired genes and characteristics to be passed down to future generations–for the sake of evolving towards the perfect human race.
But when mob-member Saskia Wires uncovers a secret about the evolved creatures outside the city, it throws her into a world of looming goddesses, genetic procedures, swirling ink skin and a split personality fighting to drag her under at any moment.
